Ladybird is a country outfit from Milwaukee with Pete McDermott (Pete Freeman), Scott Parker, Sam Szymborski, and Aidan Gouran. …for those who find a dirty taste left in their mouth from the word “country,” Ladybird is just as much a rock-and-roll band as it is a country band—like Donny and Marie Osmond have been known to sing. Opening track “Zoomer” kicks off the EP and sets the pace at an exciting trot, as McDermott laments “I’ve got a beer buzz and a broken dream/So I crack my fifth can and I scream.” [ Shepherd Express]

Colton Cerny & The Hog Leg Band is the brand new solo project from Colton Cerny of Austin country band Shinglers. Hog Etiquette, released earlier this month, incorporates a mix of rock, soul, and the spectrum of cosmic American music. 

KD & The Sharp Four are a boogie woogie and R&B inspired band founded at the longest standing blues jam in the greater Austin Area - The Mojo Jam.  Over the years, the players in the Sharp Four have picked up gigs together with various players across genres, and now they’re out sharing their take on some of their favorite boogie woogie and R&B tunes.  In addition to this, the band is working on original music with hopes of a single in 2023.
